Every now and then we do a bit of work for 'charridy' mate, and the Samaritans, well they're one of the best charity organizations out there. So here's the video we put together of their Flash Mob on the streets of Galway ... Not looking for money, just raising awareness.
Please do pass on, you never know who needs the Samaritans most.
After a lot of filming and recording over the last few weeks, we now have to edit and produce it all ... over 100GB's worth!
This week we get to deal with the UN in New York, and from Hollywood, our own Gabriel Byrne will be in the house. He will be one of the guest speakers at the Theatre Forum at NUI Galway's Bailey Allen Hall on Thursday and Friday of this week.
Our promotional video was chosen by Galway City Council for part of their promotional efforts for Bike Week 2011, bringing national attention to our work here at Staunton Media
Big up to my crew: Leon, Tim and Bill.
Been extremely busy for the last couple of months. Video shoots, band PAs, Event Management, and interactive AV displays, its been all good, just not a lot of time for the paperwork and all that jazz. But no time for that now, as we're off on an international assignment now. Details later ...
Wow, just had one of the busiest week ever! Started off last Monday with a world record, would you believe, when NUIG's Student Union broke the world record for number of people 'Rocking the Boat' .. We were there filming and providing PA skills. Big shout out to classy French DJ Adrien Parmentier from rocking the joint. We'll have video by end of the week. Later that evening we were back behind the mixing desk doing sound for the anarchic comedy stylings of TV's David McSavage. What a nutter.
Then from the madness of College Week, it was straight into dealing with the glitz and glamour of the Alumni Awards Gala Ball. This year as well as providing AV support for the event, we also provided the multimedia portions of the Awards ceremony, which provoked an very positive audible response from the audience.
Monday 28Feb should be interesting. College Week in Galway with NUIG attempting a world record of most people doing 'Rock The Boat' at 1pm in the Sports Hall. We'll be filming that, as well as coordinating the sound systems with help from DJ Soc and i104FM.
Then at 8pm we'll be proving sound and lighting for David Savage as TV's Savage Eye hits the Kirwan theatre at 8pm.
So, get along and do your thing, y'all.
